Day 1 – Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa Camp
Your journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Moshi, followed by a drive to the Londorossi Gate. After a lunch stop and gathering last-minute supplies in a nearby settlement, you’ll meet your guides and venture into the lush jungle covering Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes. The ascent on this day will take about three hours, and as you make your way to Mti Mkubwa Camp for the night, keep an eye out for local wildlife like Colobus monkeys.

Day 2 – Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 2 Camp

Pushing through another two hours of challenging hiking, you’ll reach Uhuru Peak, standing tall at 5,985 meters. Witness an incredible sunrise and savor the expansive vista from the summit. After taking in the moment, start your descent back to Barafu Camp, where you’ll pause for lunch and some well-deserved celebration. From there, continue down to Mweka Camp to spend the night.
