Eight Day Tanzania Cultural Tour
Eight day Tanzania cultural tour experience a thrilling eight-day adventure through some of Tanzania’s most renowned national parks, where you’ll be treated to both a wildlife and cultural safari. This tour offers the chance to witness the majestic Big Five in three of Tanzania’s famous northern circuit parks, as well as engage with the Masai and Hadzabe tribes, immersing yourself in the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Day 1 – Transportation from the Airport
Upon your arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, our driver will meet you and transport you to your accommodation at Arusha Planet Lodge. You have the option of shuttle transportation from Nairobi International Airport to Arusha, or we can arrange a flight to Arusha/Kilimanjaro for faster access.
Day 2 –Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
At 8 AM, we’ll depart from Arusha on a two-hour drive to Lake Manyara, passing through the vibrant farming and market village of Mto Wa Mbu, where you can hone your bargaining skills with the locals for souvenirs. Lake Manyara National Park is a photographer’s paradise, teeming with wildlife, including the famous tree-climbing lions, colorful flamingos, and large baboon groups. As the day comes to a close, witness a breathtaking sunset over the Great Rift Valley. Afterward, you’ll spend the night near Lake Eyasi at Country Lodge Karatu, preparing for the cultural experiences of the next day.
Day 3 – Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Crater
Your day will begin at dawn as you join the Hadzabe bushmen on their early hunt. Witness their ancient hunter-gatherer lifestyle, observing their hunting techniques and gathering practices. After breakfast, explore the Lake Eyasi region, taking a scenic drive or a nature walk to observe the diverse herbivores and abundant birdlife in this stunning environment, later afternoon you will be driven to your lodge/camp at Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Ngorongoro Exploration
After breakfast, you’ll head to Ngorongoro for a day of exploration. Traverse mist-covered jungles where baboons, cape buffalos, and elephants roam freely. The Ngorongoro Crater, often called the eighth wonder of the world, awaits you, offering an opportunity to spot the Big Five and the critically endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the famous hippo pool and marvel at thousands of flamingos in the soda lakes. After successful game drive you will enjoy your dinner and overnight at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp.
Day 5 – Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, journey to the Serengeti. Along the way, visit the Oldupai Gorge Museum to learn about prehistoric human history and the Masai boma to interact with the local tribe and experience their culture. Once in the Serengeti, enjoy a picnic lunch and an afternoon wildlife drive, seeking the Big Five and other fascinating creatures. Later afternoon you will driven to your accommodation at Heritage Luxury Camp for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 6 – Full-Day Serengeti Exploration
Wake-up early morning for a game drive to witness the predators in action as the savannah is illuminated by the rising sun. After breakfast, indulge in a full-day game drive, with the possibility of witnessing the Great Wildebeest Migration depending on the season. Your experienced guide will take you to prime locations to observe a wide variety of animals. You will retire at Heritage Luxury Tented Camp.
Day 7 – Serengeti to Arusha
After a leisurely breakfast, take a final game drive across the Serengeti before starting your journey back to Arusha. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and relish any missed sightings of animals or birds. Later afternoon you will retire at Moivaro Lodges and Tented Camps.
Day 8 – Transfer to the Airport
