Our eleven day wildebeest migration safari offers the ultimate safari experience by combining the attractions of both East African safari sites. You will have more time to explore the Maasai Mara and Serengeti, increasing your chances of witnessing the Wildebeest Migration, encountering the Big Five in Ngorongoro Crater, and enjoying additional wildlife drives in Lake Manyara and Amboseli National Parks. A full-day trip to Nairobi completes this unforgettable safari adventure.
Day 1 – Nairobi City Tour
Following breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the National Museum of Kenya. This fascinating place showcases Kenya’s history and culture through various exhibitions, including Kenyan art, a dedicated hall for the Kenyan War for Independence, and prehistoric artifacts of mankind, among others. The visit will last around an hour and a half.
At 11 A.M, you’ll arrive at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you’ll have an up-close and personal encounter with orphaned elephants at the Elephant Orphanage. During the hour-long tour, you’ll witness the baby elephants feed, exercise, and bathe, and you can even choose to sponsor one of them.
Next, at 12 P.M, you’ll visit the Giraffe Centre, where you can interact with charming giraffes. Lunch options include the world-famous Carnivore Restaurant, local flavors at the Utamaduni Centre, or the family-friendly Mamba Villabe, with its crocodile and ostrich farms.
In the afternoon, around 2:30 P.M., you’ll visit the Bomas of Kenya, a unique living museum showcasing the diverse tribal traditions that contribute to Kenya’s cultural tapestry. Your tour will feature tribal dances, traditional housing, and exhibitions of arts and crafts. The day concludes at 5 P.M. with your return to the hotel at Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts.

Day 2 – Nairobi – Masai Mara
After breakfast, you’ll depart Nairobi for a lengthy drive to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival, you’ll have lunch at your lodge and then embark on an afternoon game drive. You’ll also get to admire the breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley. The Maasai Mara is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five and the annual Wildebeest Migration, providing an exceptional safari experience. You’ll overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 3 – Masai Mara
Rise early for a sunrise experience over the Maasai Mara, where you’ll watch the big cats hunting in the morning chill. After breakfast, you’ll head to the Mara Airstrip for a flight to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. Once there, you’ll go on an afternoon wildlife drive through the park, known for its abundant wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You’ll retire at Ole Serai Luxury Camps – Kogatende.

Day 5 – Serengeti National Park (Kogatende)
Start the day with a wildlife drive around the Kogatende area, where you may witness large migration groups preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya.
