SIX DAY MIKUMI AND SELOUS EXPERIENCE

Six Day Mikumi and Selous Experience

If you believe that you’ve experienced everything there is to see after going on safari in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, you are mistaken. Our Southern Big Five Safari presents these magnificent animals in a unique and remote environment, far removed from the crowds and comforts of the more popular Northern Circuit.

You will spend a day searching for lions, eland, and cheetahs on the vast floodplain of Mikumi. Then, you’ll transfer to Morogoro for a delightful farmstay before concluding your trip with four game drives, including two full-day game drives, in Africa’s largest wildlife reserve, the Selous Reserve.

The park’s main attraction is the Mkata Floodplain, where you have the best chance of spotting herds of strong Eland antelope. Mikumi is also home to over 400 different bird species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. You will overnight at Mikumi Safari Lodge.
