Day 2 – Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

The best chance to witness predators in action is during a morning game drive in the Serengeti, which you will undertake. Additionally, you’ll be treated to a breathtaking Serengeti sunrise as the rising light sets the savannah aglow. After a late breakfast, it’s time to depart for Ngorongoro. Your driver will make every effort to ensure you encounter the Big Five, the Wildebeest Migration, or anything else your heart desires along the way. The journey itself is a game drive. Upon leaving the park, you can head straight to your lodging to unwind, or you may choose to participate in one or both of the optional cultural activities listed below (additional cost applies):

Visit the Olduvai Gorge Museum: This museum commemorates some of the earliest discoveries of human settlement and is often referred to as the Cradle of Mankind. Here, you can learn more about the history of humanity, explore some of the oldest fossil evidence of human habitation in the world, and take in the breathtaking views of the desolate valley region.

Visit a Maasai boma: You have the option to visit one of the well-known Maasai bomas, where you can witness (and take part in) a Maasai dance performance, experience a real Maasai village, and even do some souvenir shopping at the local market.

After dinner, you’ll head back to your lodging at Heritage Luxury Tented Camp for a restful night’s sleep.

Day 3 – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world. As you catch your first glimpse of this enormous, lush caldera from a panoramic vista, you’ll quickly understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of the world’s most popular safari locations, is home to over 120 species of mammals, including the famous Big Five. It’s a great spot to watch hippopotamuses in great numbers enjoying the cool water as well as the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a solitary meal on the grassy plains.

Some of Africa’s most well-known faces may be seen and captured from the comfort of your open-top vehicle. Predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a sizable population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, Cape buffalo, and other animals, reside in the crater. It is undoubtedly one of the top safari destinations in Africa.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch near the park’s renowned hippo pool after the day’s thrills and spills and then head back to Arusha.
